What are the Dairy Free Food Awards?

The Dairy Free Food Awards celebrate the best diary free products in the UK. Products are judged on their taste, appearance and packaging and if judged to be a winning product will be awarded with a gold, silver or bronze award.

How do I submit a product for judging?

Click on ‘Submit Products’ and complete the form. We will then send you a link to the entry form.  Fill in the form, we’ll send you an invoice, then post your products to us, we’ll judge them and, if you win an award, we’ll send the winners pack straight out to you.

How much does it cost?

The cost is £40 for each product submitted. We offer a reduced rate for small businesses of £20 for each product submitted.

How do I know if I qualify for the small business rate?

Either, if you have less than 12 staff or a turnover of less than £1m then you qualify for the reduced rate.

When will I find out if I have won an award?

Once your product has been received and judged and if it is good enough to win an award we will post out your certificate and vinyl point of sale sticker. We will also send you a link to download the relevant logo for you to use as you wish.  Judging takes approximately 2 weeks.

Is there a deadline to submit a product for judging?

No deadlines, you can submit a product whenever you like.  Any winning products submitted towards the end of the year will be given an award with the next year’s date.

What products can I enter?

Any food or drink that is dairy free. None of the ingredients should contain any diary or anything derived from dairy.  It doesn’t have to be a specific ‘Free From’ product, often some of the best products out there are accidentally dairy free! 

Is there a cost for using the gold, silver and bronze logos?

Nope, there is no charge for the use of the logos. You can use the logo how you wish as long as it relates to the winning product and for as long as your product remains as it was when judged. If you change the recipe or ingredients then you need to submit it again for judging if you wish to continue to use the logo.
